A master counterfeiter, Salomon Smolianoff, was recruited for the last
throw of the dice: the switch from pounds to dollars. Smolianoff was found
in Mauthausen concentration camp and transferred to Block 19 at Sachsenhausen.
The plan failed, and the problem then was to get rid of the evidence.
